Jack Berkery received a First Place award at the Southern Saratoga YMCA Art Show in Clifton Park, NY in Dec 2011 for a graphite and watercolor pencil drawing titled "The Finch Who Stole Christmas".


The Albany Artists Group Fall Show was held during November at the Guilderland Public Library.  Following are winners who are also CAL members:

The pastel painting "Blue Waters" by Lorraine Miskinis was juried into the annual nationwide Impressions of New England Exhibit at the Bennington Center for the Arts. The exhibit began August 13 and runs through December 18.



Constance Alexander has been juried into "Landscapes For Landsakes" in the "Legacy Exhibit", October 8th, 9th and 10th, Coila, New York . www.agstewardship.org



Margot Bernhard, Beverly Bondley, and Lorenz Worden are currently exhibiting their artwork at the William K. Sanford Library in Colonie until Oct 29th 2011.



Lefu Gu had been juried into the Audubon Artists’ 69th Annual juried exhibition, where he received the Golden Award for his painting.  The exhibition was held at the Historic Salmagundi Club in NYC, through the month of September 2011.

Professor Lefu Gu's watercolor painting, "Street in the Spring Rain", was selected by the Watercolor Society's 144th Annual International Exhibition in 2011.  The exhibit is held at the Salmagundi Art Club in NYC.



Jacqueline Smith is exhibiting the show "Autumn Reflections"at Wellington's Herbs and Spices on Rickard Hill Road in Schoharie during the month of October.  Please join us for a reception on Sunday, October 2, from 2 to 4.  For more information, see www.Wellingtonsherbsandspices.com.




Joyce Dannibale was awarded first place  in the spring show at the Shenendehowa Adult Center, Clifton Park.  Joyce was also invited to exhibit at Christ’s Church of the Capital District in Guilderland , June until August 1st.

Bradford Smith
will be having a book signing of his new book "Faces of Man: A Look Through the Lens of Bradford Smith"  on Friday, Aug 5 at Broadway Art Center, 488 Broadway, Albany, from 5 to 8pm; on Friday, Aug 19 at The Open Door Book Store, 128 Jay St., Schenectady, from 5 to 8pm; and on Thurs., Sept 15 at The Book House of Stuyvesant Plaza, from 7 to 9pm.



Kris Woodward
is exhibiting at the Sand Lake Center for the Arts until September 30.   Her reception is August 28, 1-3.

Brad Smith is having a show of his photography at The Artists' Space @ National Bottle Museum in Ballston Spa.



Dennis Mahoney's
oil painting "Seascape II" has been judged as a finalist in the RayMar Art Fine Art Competition, on the internet, for the month of March.  The final competition will include all finalists from each monthly competition, for a total of 144.  This final competition will be in the month of October, 2011.
