Every year the Colonie Art League gives back to the community by supporting a scholarship award to two high school students.
One reason we are able to continuously support a program
like this is through the efforts of Marion Greenberg, Jim Comly and Lucy
Comly, Education Chairpersons, who sell 50/50 raffle tickets at our
general meetings, shows and some events.
This fund
awards scholarship money to talented local high school students and
sponsors the Pruyn House Children's Summer Program.
Members have also donated a print, book, painting, supplies, or equipment to be used as a prize for the raffle.
These league endeavors depend on your generous support. If you
would like to give a meaningful gift to either or both of these funds,
please mail a check to our treasurer, Linda Worden, c/o The Colonie Art
league, PO Box 941, Latham, NY 12110. Indicate the purpose of your
check when you send it.
This gift is a wonderful investment in the future of fine arts in our own backyard, and is highly valued.

Jenifer Chung, Shaker High School, to attend Rhode Island School of Design.
Lise Sikhu, South Colonie High School, to attend Syracuse University.
They both gave a wonderful presentation at the June Dinner Meeting.
