The CAL Environment

Sponsors, Programs,

Fund Raisers, & Awards

There are many associations and groups who have helped us along the way.  One that sticks out in my mind right now is the UAG.  The United Artists Guild have bent over backwards to give us everything to make money for the gallery.  I think that deserves one heck of a pat on the back.

The Town of Colonie has us as their guest every month.  Every single month the janitors and maintenance people set up the tables and chairs, the mikes and mirrors.  They are just one fabulous energetic bunch of people.

St. Matthew's Church
is also a spirited group that allows us to fill their space on board nights, days for art instruction from Kristin Woodward, and some evenings too. We have weekly Wednesday workshops there as well as the CAL board meetings.

Thank you to all; it is appreciated.

WMHT TV

has played a significant role in the growth of the Colonie Art league and the Broadway Art Center.  This public broadcasting television station has donated a plethora of items, time and advertising.

WMHT has recognized the Colonie Art League in so many beneficial ways and has promoted us through their annual art auctions.

Besides that great and worthy deed, they have donated an entire collection of oil painter, Helen Van Wyk's "Welcome to My Studio" videos for our library.  They have also donated the series entitled "Around The World" of watercolorist, Frank Clarke and the book case to house the collections.

The collection is located in a space solely for these collections.

The Times Union

has worked with the Colonie Art League and the Broadway Art Center by listing our Gallery and league events and activities in the Sunday Arts section.

They have made the public aware of our mural on the side of the Broadway Art Center.
