The Judi Betts demonstration at the April 7th general membership was much enjoyed by the 65 members and visitors present. Judi presented an informative dialogue and demonstration of her current watercolor painting practice of using complimentary color instead of local color (on white) to make a presentation of the subject. This technique involved the creation of an under painting of four or more rectangles each painted with a different mid-value color of choice. The subject is then drawn and painted using the compliment of the under painting. Thank you to the Romeling Foundation for their monetary donation to sponsor the event.
