workshop is full but we are accepting a wait list (we are at #1 on the list) and also you may monitor the morning power point program and demo for $55. per day, payable to CAL and mailed to Kris Woodward, 44 Hoffman Drive, Latham 12110.

Qiang Huang was raised and educated in China. He is a member of Oil Painters of America, Plein Air Austin, Daily Painters Gallery and Daily Paint Works.

Pastel Workshop
It's All About the Light
CAL welcomes Robert back this Spring...April 30, May 1, 2. May 3rd is possible if we have interest in a 4th day; let Kris know your thoughts, please. This exciting workshop will focus on achieving expressive surfaces, dynamic compositions, and beautiful color in your pastel paintings. Attention will be given to achieving a strong, underlying abstract design and its relationship to the representational completion of the painting. The first two days will concentrate on land forms: dynamic effects of moving water, rock cliffs, trees, farm land. The second two days on sky/atmospheric effects: sunsets, storms and night scenes.
Anticipated cost is $65-70 per day. Please send
