Announcing the accomplishments of our members, is a primary concern and importance.
In light of the fact that there are many events that take place and the many members' milestones become numerous, past milestone announcements will be eliminated one year from present date.
Jean Thatcher, Judi Goux, Karen Cooper and Terry Thatcher Waltz are exhibiting through february 28 at the William K. Sanford Library. Their reception will be on Sunday, February 27 from 2-4PM.
Carole Warburton's work ["Vanishing Barns" will be exhibited during the performance of "To Kill a Mockingbird" at the Capital Repertory Theater, Albany, NY from February 24th to March 28th.
The Town of Clifton Park has purchased an original watercolor by Charles DeMarco to commemorate the retirement of a Town Councilman.
Bob Blackmon has 14 works on display at the Wine Bar & Bistro, 200 Lark St. They will stay through the month of February.
Betty Childrose and Sally Spring will be exhibiting their work at the Colonie Town Hall for the month of March, 2010. Jean Thatcher, Judi Goux, Karen Cooper and Terry Thatcher Waltz are exhibitng through February 28 at the Wm. K. Sanford Library. Their reception was on February 7. Barbara Aldi - Works in acrylic on foil. She will be doing a "one woman exhibit" in March for SSAS, along with teaching a 4-hour workshop.
Diane Evans' piece, "Wallflowers #5", was juried into the recent 2009 National Small Art Quilt Works Exhibition Gallery in Groton, NY.
Diane also was awarded second place for her quilt, "Pieces of Dreams", in the Innovative Wall Quilts category at the 2009 American Quilter's Society Expo in Des Moines, Iowa.
Debi Angilletta has had a painting accepted for the 2009 Arkell Annual Juried Art Show which will take place December 5 through January 31. The opening reception took place at the Arkell Museum in Canajoharie, NY.
Charles DeMarco was asked to participate in "Art at the ARC's premier year special exhibition (November 30 - January 29, 2010) called "Nature's Celebration" at Cornell Cooperative Extension's Agroforestry Resource Center, 6055 Rte. 23, Acram, NY (622-9820).
Charles also had two paintings accepted at the Historic Albany Foundation's Built: Albany's Architecture Through Artist's Eyes show in November.
Betty Childrose and Sally Spring had their watercolor art on display at the Columbia-Greene Community College in Hudson, NY from December through January 28, 2010.
Betty Childrose and Sally Spring held an exhibit in November at the East Greenbush Library.
Beverly Bondley and Kris Woodward held an exhibit in November at the William K. Sanford Library in Colonie.
Dennis Mahony had two oil paintings accepted for the National "Impressions of New England" Art Show at the Bennington Center for the Arts in Bennington, VT.
The Show ran from October 3 to November 29, 2009.
Susan Wiley has been juried into the Northeast Watercolor Society's 33rd Annual International Open Exhibition 2009 which took place October 25 through November 8.
Susan Wiley's painting, "A Coupla White Chicks Sittin' Around Talking", which depicts the play by the same name, will be part of a traveling exhibit to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Saratoga Spring's Home Made Theater.
The exhibit, which features play inspired artwork, will run through September 18th at the Spring Street Gallery, Saratoga Springs, then move to Uncommon Grounds on Broadway, Saratoga Springs from Nov. 2-29,

has been accepted into The Pastel Society Of America.
She has also been juried into the "Landscapes for Landsake" annual Art Exhibit sponsored by the
Rensselaer and Washington County Agricultural Stewardship Association.

Penny Koburger had a show of her oils and watercolors at the Bethlehem Library for the month of August.
Sandra Dovberg had a one-woman show, "Memory & Illusion", at Mimosa Gallery, 70C Beekman St., Saratoga Springs. Show ran June 9 - July 25.
Milton (Mack) McPherson had an exhibition of scenic landscape, acrylic and oil paintings at the Agroforestry Resource Center, 6055 Route 23, Acra, NY. Exhibit continued through the end of August.
Paintings by Sandy Dovberg, Hana Panek, Helga Prichard and Karen Rosasco have been accepted in the Cooperstown Art Association "Essentials" Juried Regional.
Karen was awarded the Golden Acrylics Award for her painting, "Along the Nile". The exhibit ran from May 8 - June 5, 2009 and is open daily from 11-4 except Tuesdays.
Charles DeMarco exhibited some of his Clifton Park watercolors at the Shenendehowa Senior Center at Clifton Common, Vischer Ferry Rd., Clifton Park in the month of June.
KAREN J. COOPER had a one-woman show titled "Brush Dancing" at the Oakroom Gallery, 1221 Wendell Ave., Schenectady, NY from May 3 -31.
The opening was Sunday, May 3 from noon - 3PM and she was honored to have CAL members and friends attend the reception.
JACKIE WATSKY had a show at the Sand Lake Center for the Arts from April 1 - May 15. The show was called "Reconstructions and Other Realms of Reality".
The reception was Sunday, April 19.
Larry McArthur's painting of an airplane that is reminiscent of his days in the US Navy was accepted into the National Museum of Naval Aviation Juried Art Exhibit. This national exhibit is held every other year at the museum in Pensacola, Florida. The painting, which was previously shown at the 2007 Pruyn House Show, is on display between April 2009 and April 2010.
SANDRA DOVBERG was one of six artists being featured in Riverfront Studios' Season Opener from March 7 - April 25.
Riverfront is located at 96 Broad St., Schuylerville, NY [10 miles east of Saratoga].
JOYCE D'ANNIBALE and her brother-in-law, August D'Annibale, will be exhibiting their artwork at the Sanford Library, April 1 - 30. Reception was Sunday, April 19.
LORRAINE MISKINIS will be exhibitng her paintings at the Saratoga Public Library during the month of April. The title of the exhibit is "Welcoming Spring with Flowers" and will include watercolors, pastels, and crinkled rice paper technique using both watercolor and pastel.
CONSTANCE ALEXANDER exhibited her pastel collection entitled, "People and Places of Rensselaer County" at Everybody's Cafe through February 28. The cafe is located at 674 Columbia Tpke, East Greenbush, NY Phone; 518-479-2233 Mon. - Sat. 8:30 - 4 PM.
MAUREEN PAUL, JANET PIENIAJEK, JOSEPH & ELAINE POSPISIL showed their paintings at the Oakroom Gallery, 1st Unitarian Society, 1221 Wendel Ave., Schenectady until Feb. 24.
